What can you put in a waste container?
Before you start filling a container it pays to know what is allowed — it avoids surcharges and treatment problems.

In short: A container takes construction debris, wood, furniture, packaging and mixed household waste. Hazardous waste and electronics do not belong there.

How to fill a container properly
- Start with heavy, flat items — more will fit.
- Dismantle furniture: the same contents take half the space.
- Never fill above the rim; an uncovered load cannot be transported.
- Keep clean wood and mineral waste separate when possible — treatment is cheaper.
When in doubt
