Waste removal in Estonia

Waste removal is a service you usually need at short notice: the renovation is finished and the bathroom tiles are in the hallway, a move has left a pile of boxes behind, or the basement storage has filled up over the years with things nobody uses. A normal household bin will not take that volume, and much of the waste is not allowed in it at all. In that situation the simplest option is to book a pickup so everything goes at once and is handed over to a licensed treatment facility.

We mainly serve Tallinn and Harju County and, by arrangement, more distant areas as well. See the full overview on the service areas page. We usually find a free slot within a few working days, and for urgent jobs it is worth calling — over the phone we can check the schedule right away.

What waste can you hand over?

Most often we remove construction and renovation waste, old furniture, appliances, wood, packaging, household waste and post-move rubbish. Both sorted waste and mixed loads are fine, though sorted material is generally cheaper to treat.

  • Construction waste: plasterboard, laminate, tiles, concrete, brick, wood, insulation, old doors and windows.
  • Bulky waste: sofas, cabinets, beds, mattresses, tables, carpets.
  • Appliances: washing machine, cooker, oven, dishwasher.
  • Household and mixed waste: packaging, boxes, wrap, clothing, kitchenware.

Hazardous waste cannot be handled in a standard load. This includes asbestos and corrugated cement sheets, paints, solvents, oils, chemicals, batteries, gas cylinders, medicines and refrigeration equipment. Always tell us in advance — then we can point you to the right drop-off point.

Construction waste removal

Construction waste removal differs from ordinary rubbish collection: the waste is heavy, sharp and builds up fast. Stripping out a single bathroom produces a surprising amount — tiles, the old basin, pipes, plasterboard and packaging. If the work lasts more than a couple of days it makes sense to keep a container on site so debris does not pile up in the stairwell or the yard.

With construction waste it is important to distinguish volume from weight. Concrete and tiles are heavy, so we recommend a smaller container. Light waste such as insulation and packaging needs volume, so a larger container suits better.

Construction container rental

Construction container rental means we deliver the container at the agreed time, you fill it at your own pace and we take it away. Sizes available are 6, 8, 10, 13, 15, 20, 25 and 30 m³. The rental period is agreed around your work schedule and can be extended as you go. If the container fills up before the job is done, we swap it for an empty one.

Before ordering, check the placement spot. Container delivery needs clear access, enough overhead height without low branches or cables, and firm ground. No permit is needed on your own property; for a public street or parking space the local authority normally requires one.

Waste removal by van

Van waste removal is meant for smaller loads: one sofa, a few bags of renovation debris or boxes left over from a move. One load holds roughly 8–10 m³ of light waste. If the amount fits into one or two loads, a van is usually cheaper than a container, because there is no delivery or rental period to pay for.

Flat clearance

Flat clearance is a complete service where we remove everything you no longer need: furniture, appliances, textiles, kitchenware and the contents of the basement box. It is often ordered before a sale or letting, when moving, or when settling an estate. A one-room flat is usually cleared in half a day; a larger household may take a day or two.

House clearance

With a detached house, the yard, shed and garage come on top of the indoor rooms. Old building materials, garden machinery, tyres and scrap metal often turn up. We separate metal and tyres because they have their own acceptance conditions. For a house clearance it is often worth placing a container in the yard so the whole job can be done in one day.

Garage clearance

Garages and storage rooms fill up without anyone noticing. Typical contents are old tyres, tools, leftover building materials, furniture and packaging. A garage clearance is usually a single-load job, but years of accumulation may call for a small container.

Old furniture removal

Old furniture removal is one of our most common jobs. Furniture must not be left at the association's bin area — that only brings the building an extra invoice. We come at the agreed time, carry the furniture out and take it for treatment. If needed, we dismantle wardrobes and beds so they fit through the stairwell.

Post-move rubbish removal

After a move you are left with a mix of cardboard boxes, wrap, old furniture and things that never made it to the new home. We collect it all in one visit, so the old flat can be handed over properly and the new one does not fill up with clutter. Post-move rubbish is usually collected by van.

Waste removal for private clients

For private clients clarity matters most: what goes, when we come and what it costs. We agree those three things before the work starts. You point out what needs to go; we carry, load and take it away. The invoice arrives by email.

Waste removal for apartment associations

For apartment associations we provide both clean-up day containers and regular bulky waste collection. A clean-up day works best when the container stays for 1–2 days and residents have been told in advance what may go in it. For renovation projects we agree a swap schedule with the contractor.

How do I choose the right container?

A simple rule of thumb for a first estimate:

  • 6–8 m³
  • 10–13 m³
  • 15–20 m³
  • 25 m³
How much does waste removal cost?

Four factors shape the price:

How do I book waste removal?

There are two ways to book: call us or fill in the contact form. It helps if you mention the address, the floor and whether there is a lift, the approximate amount, the waste type and your preferred date. We then confirm the time and price and come to you.

What must not go into the container?

Hazardous waste must never go into the container: asbestos and corrugated cement sheets, paints, varnishes and solvents, oils and lubricants, chemicals, batteries, gas cylinders, medicines, medical waste and refrigeration equipment. Flammable materials and liquids are not allowed either. If you are unsure about a material, ask first — the wrong waste discovered at the treatment plant results in an extra charge.

How quickly can I book a pickup?

The usual lead time is 1–3 working days. We can often arrange the pickup on the same or next day when there is a free slot. Container delivery is most reliable when booked 2–3 days ahead, especially during the spring and summer renovation season when demand is higher.
